The blind organist Francesco Landini was renowned for his great mastery of the organetto.   What, however, was the music that he played?   Christophe Deslignes attempts to answer this question through his exploration of the rich patrimony of 14th cntury ltalian music, surveying vocal works just as much as the scarce manuscripts of instrumental music whose pieces reach back to even older traditions that later generations had purveyed.
