THE BACH GAMUT
Recorded live in San Francisco 1976
RR-107 [HDCD]
Now, these memorable performances can be heard by today's music lovers. Prof. Keith Johnson has lovingly restored and remixed the original three-channel analogue masters and transferred them with HDCD® technology to compact disc. Although the age of the tapes and the circumstances of the live performances make the sonics unlike Reference Recordings' current work, the importance of these historic Fox performances weighed heavily in our decision to release them.

| MARY PRESTON |
CROWN IMPERIAL DALLAS WIND SYMPHONY, JERRY JUNKIN
WITH MARY PRESTON, ORGAN RR-112 [HDCD]
These colorfully scored pieces provided Prof. Keith Johnson manna from heaven to work his audio magic. The justly famous acoustics of the Meyerson Center have all the clarity, warmth and spaciousness we could ask, and when the full ensemble and center-of-the-earth organ pedals come together, the effect is hair-raising.

ORGAN ODYSSEY RR-113 [HDCD]
For her first solo recital on Reference Recordings, Mary Preston has chosen a wide variety of music - popular favorites, organ spectaculars, and off-the-beaten path items to stretch the ears.
