. . . . . . . . . . . . . . After leaving Blancheflor, Perceval resumes his journey with the intentention of finding his mother. He is stopped by an impassable river, but sees a small boat with two fishermen in it who offer him lodgings at a neighbouring castle. After reaching the mysterious castle, he is invited to sit beside a venerable figure, the Fisher King. He soon notices that his host is crippled in both legs. They sit down to a copious meal, and during the evening Perceval witnesses a strange procession.
