Along with Adams' masterpieces from the 1970s, Phrygian Gates and China Gates, Brubaker offers an original piano transcription of "Pat's Aria," from Nixon in China and the premier recordings of Endangered Species and Inner Cities I. The second installment in his contemporary piano series from Arabesque Recordings, inner cities continues to seamlessly present the works of American minimalist composers, while exploring their resonance in our own individual and personal lives. Mr. Brubaker's first album, glass cage was named one of the "Best Releases of the Year" by The New Yorker magazine in 2001.
