Arabesque Recordings presents a collection of compositions for voice and piano from contemporary American composer Lowell Liebermann.   The album features tenor Robert White with the composer at the piano.   A Grammy award nominee, Mr. Liebermann started composing songs during his late teens and continues to create vocal music, including the opera, The Picture of Dorian Gray.   This collection presents pieces from the broad spectrum of Mr. Liebermann's career.   The songs vary in theme and setting: Out of the Cradle Endlessly Rocking, Op. 41 is an adaptation of the same named poem by Walt Whitman, while Final Songs, Op. 21 draws upon various works by poets Robert Graves, Randall Jarrell and Rod Jellema to reflect upon the relations between music and death.   Both Out of the Cradle Endlessly Rocking, Op. 41 and A Poet to His Beloved, Op. 40 were originally conceived for voice and chamber music ensemble and receive their premiere piano performances on this recording.
